Hungarian Buttered Nokedli (Hungarian Dumplings)
Ingredients:
2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1/2 cup (120 ml) water
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix the flour and salt.
Add the eggs and water, then stir until a soft, sticky dough forms.
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Using a spaetzle maker, colander, or spoon, drop small pieces of dough into the boiling water.
Cook for 2–3 minutes, or until the dumplings float to the surface.
Drain the dumplings and return them to the pot.
Add the butter and toss until evenly coated.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Serving Suggestion:
Nokedli is a classic Hungarian side dish, often served with Chicken Paprikash (Paprikás Csirke) or hearty stew
