Hungarian-Style Pancake Rolls with Chocolate
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 eggs
2 cups milk
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
1 tablespoon melted butter
Chocolate spread, for filling
Chocolate sauce, for drizzling
Fresh strawberries, for serving
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt.
Gradually add the flour and whisk until you have a smooth, thin batter.
Stir in the melted butter.
Heat a lightly greased non-stick pan over medium heat.
Pour in a small amount of batter and swirl the pan to make a thin pancake. Cook for about 1–2 minutes per side.
Repeat with the remaining batter.
Spread each pancake with chocolate spread, then roll it tightly into a cylinder.
Arrange the rolls on a serving plate.
Drizzle with melted chocolate or chocolate sauce.
Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve warm.
Tip: For a more traditional Hungarian touch, you can fill the pancakes (palacsinta) with ground walnuts, sugar, and a little cinnamon
instead of chocolate.
